2 died in light plane crash in South Australia

Canberra [Australia], October 9: A father and son who were aboard a light airplane died when the plane crashed in South Australia (SA), local media reported on Monday.
The SA Police on Monday confirmed that a 50-year-old pilot died overnight after being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition following the crash.
The pilot's 24-year-old son died at the scene on Sunday evening.
The pair were traveling in a Cessna light aircraft when it struck power lines and crashed into a field near the small town of Crystal Brook, approximately 200 km north of Adelaide, after 4:00 p.m. local time on Sunday.
Investigators from the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) with expertise in aircraft operations, maintenance and engineering attended the scene on Monday to ascertain the cause of the crash.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ATSB asked for witnesses or anyone with video footage of the flying aircraft to come forward to aid the investigation.
Road closures around the crash site remained in place on Monday and the public were asked to avoid the area.
