5.8-magnitude quake hits Kermadec Islands, New Zealand: USGS

New York [US], May 18: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand, at 20:58:26 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 203.5 km, was initially determined to be at 29.51 degrees south latitude and 178.26 degrees west longitude.
