5.9-magnitude quake hits Tonga -- USGS

Nuku'alofa [Tonga], August 9: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted Tonga at 1838 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 58.0 km, was initially determined to be at 15.25 degrees south latitude and 173.17 degrees west longitude.
