6.5-magnitude quake hits 270 km S of ʻOhonua, Tonga: USGS

New York [US], June 17: An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted 270 km S of ʻOhonua, Tonga at 19:10:52 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 23.779 degrees south latitude and 175.172 degrees west longitude.
