900,000 stimulant tablets seized in Myanmar's Yangon

Yangon [Myanmar], September 13: Myanmar authorities have seized 900,000 stimulant tablets in the commercial city of Yangon, the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) said on Tuesday.
Acting on a tipoff, police searched two suspected men on the Yangon-Pyay road in Insein town of Yangon on Aug. 22 and confiscated the stimulant tablets from them, the CCDAC said.
The two suspects and another suspect in Yangon's Tamwe town were arrested in the case, it added.
The suspects were charged under the Southeast Asian country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations were underway.
