Death toll in Russian drone attack on Odessa rises to 10

Mar 04, 2024

Moscow [Russia], March 4: The death toll from Saturday's Russian aerial drone attack on Odessa has risen to 10, including a mother and her baby, who were pulled lifeless from a ruined block, Oleh Kiper, the regional governor of the southern Ukrainian city reported.
The baby was under a year old. The number of children killed in the attack during the early hours of Saturday now stands at three after a Russian drone struck a nine-storey residential block in the city on the Black Sea coast.
In response to the attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for greater international assistance to Ukraine's air defences.
"Delays in supplying weapons to Ukraine and in air defences for the protection of our population unfortunately lead to losses of this kind," he said on Saturday evening. "And when people die, while our partners lose themselves in political gameplaying or discussions, which limit our defence, this is incomprehensible and unimaginable," Zelensky added.
