Feleti Teo elected as Tuvalu's new PM: local media

Funafuti [Tuvalu], February 26: Feleti Teo has been appointed as the new prime minister of Tuvalu, one month after the general election in the country, local media Tuvalu TV reported on Monday.
Teo was elected unopposed on Monday morning in Funafuti, as only one candidate was nominated for the position, according to the Secretary to the Government Tufoua Panapa.
Ministers are yet to be known and will be confirmed at an oath taking ceremony scheduled for this week, said the media.
Teo, the former executive director of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC), was also the first Tuvaluan to serve as the attorney general of the country.
