Paris [France], March 25: France has decided to raise the security alert level to the highest level after the theater attack in the Moscow region of Russia.

"With the attack claimed by the Islamic State (IS) and threats weighing on the country, we have decided to raise Vigipirate's status to the highest level: emergency attack ", Prime Minister Attal said, referring to France's national security warning
The system has three levels and the highest level is activated when there is an imminent risk of an attack in France
The decision comes as Paris prepares to host the Olympics in a few months. Security concerns are expected to heighten around the opening of the Games on July 26, when boats will swim along the Seine River and crowds will watch on both banks.
In the past, France has suffered many bloody terrorist attacks, including the attack on the Bataclan theater in Paris in 2015, which left more than 130 people dead.
