France refuses to take in migrants from Lampedusa

Paris [France],September 21: France's Interior Minister GeraldDarmanin said on Tuesday that the country would not take in migrants who arrived on the Mediterranean island of Lampedusa.
"France will not take in migrants from Lampedusa," Darmanin told the French television channel TF1.
France wanted a position of austerity, he said. There was irregular migration in France and Italy, as well as in all of Europe, which must be fought, Darmanin said. (DPA)
