Hezbollah retaliates, launching rockets into Israel?

Previously on the evening of February 8, an Israeli drone attack on a car in the city of Nabatiyeh in southern Lebanon seriously injured a commander of the Hezbollah
The car caught fire after being hit by a rocket launched by an Israeli drone as it entered the city of Nabatiyeh on the afternoon of February 8, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.
The Israeli military said its aircraft attacked a "Hezbollah commander" in southern Lebanon, claiming he was involved in cross-border rocket attacks. The Israeli military confirmed the target "was related to several launches towards Kiryat Shmona and Metula" in northern Israel.
The new attack took place on one of the main roads leading into the city of Nabatiyeh, far from a border area that has seen fighting almost every day since the Hamas-Israel conflict
Previously, Hezbollah said it had targeted the brigade headquarters in the Israeli border town of Kiryat Shmona in the latest fighting between the two sides.
Since Hamas gunmen attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, leading to Israel's war in Gaza, Hezbollah has attacked Israeli military positions along the border in support of Hamas.
Israel has repeatedly bombed border villages in Lebanon, killing 227 people, mainly Hezbollah members but also 27 civilians, according to AFP statistics. On the Israeli side, 15 people were killed in the northern border area, including 9 soldiers and 6 civilians, according to the Israeli army.
