Budapest [Hungary], March 4: Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will hold talks with former US President Donald Trump in Florida on March 8 during his visit to the United States, Orban's spokesman, Bertalan Havasi, said on Sunday.
"The Hungarian prime minister will hold talks with former US President Donald Trump in Florida on March 8," Havasi was quoted by Hungarian news agency MTI as saying.
Orban is also expected to participate in a panel discussion on "The Future of US-Hungarian Relations" with Kevin Roberts, the president of US conservative think tank Heritage Foundation, in Washington on March 7. The conversation will be focused on "Hungarian strategic thinking in an era of emerging global conflicts in security, economy and society," the spokesman said.
The Orban-Trump meeting comes as Trump remains determined to face off against US President Joe Biden in the upcoming US presidential race. Orban has expressed his support for Trump. In February, the Hungarian prime minister said he would be glad to see Trump back in the White House, expressing hope that Trump would make peace in Eastern Europe.
