Interfaith Ramadan Iftar in Paris brings together 450 French politicians, religious leaders

Paris [France], March 29: The French capital, Paris, witnessed an interfaith Ramadan Iftar that brought together about 450 French politicians and religious leaders.
The initiative comes in the context of consolidating the values of peaceful coexistence and tolerance between various cultures and religions in the French society.
During her participation in the gathering, Yael Braun-Pivet, the President of the French National Assembly, said in statements to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that she decided to attend the gathering and share the Ramadan Iftar with the Muslim community in order to emphasise the ability of French society, with its different religions and political affiliations, to communicate and understand each other, and to build bridges of culture and coexistence.
Patricia Miralles, the Minister of State for Veterans and Remembrance of France, told WAM that her participation in the Ramadan Iftar comes in recognition of the importance of the spirit of openness and mutual respect between various segments of French society.
