Aug 21, 2023

Moscow [Russia], August 21: The Russian capital Moscow and the city of Kursk were targeted by Ukrainian drone attacks, officials said on Sunday, as Kiev's forces seek to bring the Kremlin's war home to Russians.
Early in the morning, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said there had been an attempt to fly a drone over Moscow during the night but that air defences had thwarted it.
Two Moscow airports, Vnukovo and Domodedovo, temporarily suspended take-offs and landings during the night, he said in a Telegram post. Meanwhile the western Russian city of Kursk was hit by a Ukrainian drone, according to the region's governor, Roman Starovoit.
