Police discover arms, ammunition in N. Afghanistan

Kabul [Afghanistan], November 21: Police have discovered arms and ammunition including rocket-propelled grenades and AKM assault rifles in north Afghanistan's Faryab province, the provincial police office said in a statement on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, police units launched operations recently and discovered a variety of arms and ammunition including 28 pieces of rifles, 30 hand grenades and thousands of bullets and projectiles, the statement said.
Police have also arrested one man for further investigations, it said.
Previously, the security forces discovered arms and ammunition including rocket-propelled grenades and AKM assault rifles in south Afghanistan's Uruzgan province on Friday.
