Russian armed forces to receive first naval drones by end of 2023

St Petersburg [Russia], November 28: The first batch of naval drones will be delivered to the Russian armed forces by the end of 2023, RIA Novosti news agency reported on Monday, citing Mikhail Danilenko, managing director of Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ).
The first batch of ten naval drones developed by KMZ will be tested in the zone of the special military operation, Danilenko was quoted as saying in an interview.
The drones, which can undertake a variety of missions, will be able to reach a speed of up to 80 kilometers per hour and carry a payload of about 600 kilograms with a cruising range of more than 200 kilometers, he said.
KMZ specializes in the production of boats for Russian law enforcement agencies, according to the report.
