The plane crashed in the Amazon region of Brazil, all 14 people died

Brasilia [Brazil], September 17: A plane crash in the Amazon state in northern Brazil on September 16 killed 14 people on board.

Barcelos province is about 400 km from the capital Manaus. Mr. Lima expressed his deep condolences and said that the authorities are providing the necessary support. "My condolences and prayers go out to their families and friends," Lima's governor wrote.
Manaus Aerotaxi airline issued a statement confirming there was an accident and the company is investigating but did not provide further information on the number of deaths or injuries.
The company said it will respect the privacy of those involved at a difficult time but will provide and update necessary information as the investigation progresses.
AFP quoted information from G1 page saying that the plane that crashed was a two-engine turboprop aircraft EMB-110 manufactured by Embraer. This plane is said to be able to carry 18 people. According to G1 , the plane was en route from Manaus to Barcelos - a famous tourist destination - when it crashed. UOL website reported that the other passengers were Brazilian and were in the area for fishing.
