Dubai [UAE], February 14: Dr. Raymond Khoury, Senior Partner - Arthur D. Little Middle East, said that the UAE is forging ahead with its groundbreaking Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, positioned to become a global leader in this transformative technology.
In statements to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Khoury said that the UAE has taken pioneering steps in the field of AI thanks to its readiness and advanced infrastructure, which enhances its position and leadership in this sector.
Khoury explained that the UAE is the first country in the world to have a Minister of AI, as well as clear national AI strategies and many institutions that are constantly working to develop the concepts of this field.
He pointed out that Arthur D. Little Middle East always participates in the World Governments Summit, and last year its focus was on climate change issues and ways to address its challenges, while this year the focus is on national resilience and how to coexist with AI amid fears that it will replace humans in managing, analysing, and leading life activities in various business sectors.
Khoury also highlighted the launch of a comprehensive report, in collaboration with the World Governments Summit, on changing national resilience systems for future generations. The report identifies the key factors required for the success of any national work through readiness and proactive planning for any risks and how to address them.
