UAE President meets with King Charles III at COP28 in Dubai

Dubai [UAE], December 1: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the sidelines of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28), which commenced today in the UAE.His Highness welcomed King Charles III's visit to the UAE and his participation in COP28, expressing appreciation for his efforts in supporting climate and environmental issues. The meeting, which took place at Expo City Dubai, provided a platform to discuss cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of sustainability, environmental protection, and climate action.The significance of COP28 in advancing transformative solutions for international collective action against climate change for the benefit of all nations was also emphasised in the discussions.King Charles III is scheduled to deliver the opening speech at the Global Climate Action Summit tomorrow as part of COP28.Source: Emirates News Agency
