Apr 29, 2024

Washington [USA], April 29: On April 28, CNN announced the results of a voter opinion poll about the US presidential election in November. Accordingly, Mr. Trump is leading by 6 percentage points over Mr. Biden .
Specifically, 49% of registered voters responded that they would vote for Mr. Trump in the next election, while only 43% said they would vote for Mr. Biden. According to CNN, support for Mr. Trump has not changed compared to the January survey, while support for Mr. Biden has decreased by 2 percentage points.
In case there are 3 other candidates running, including two independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornell West, along with Green Party candidate Jill Stein, the support rate for Mr. Biden is only 33% while Mr. Trump has 42%. Mr. Kennedy ranked third with 16%.
Despite facing dozens of criminal charges in four different cases, support for former President Trump continues to increase. According to the survey, 55% of voters considered Mr. Trump's first term a success while 44% considered it a failure.
USA Today believes that it is normal for Americans to tend to look back at previous presidential administrations through rose-colored glasses. However, this support for Mr. Trump has tended to increase gradually since he left the White House. According to a January 2021 survey, conducted just days after the riot at the US Congress, 55% of voters thought Mr. Trump's term was a failure.
Meanwhile, according to a new survey, up to 61% of voters think that President Joe Biden's current term is a failure and only 39% see it as a success. This result is worse than the survey in January 2022, when 57% of voters considered the first year of the leader's term a failure and 41% called it a success.
The above figures reflect voters' feelings about the Biden administration's handling of many issues, including how to run the economy, inflation, and student debt. According to the survey, 71% of voters disagree with the White House owner's handling of the Hamas-Israel conflict.
CNN's survey was conducted in mid-April, taking a random sample nationwide, including 1,212 adults, including 967 registered voters. The survey results have an error of 3.4 percentage points.
